Sigfox, the world’s leading IoT connectivity service provider, presents products and proof-of-concepts for Sigfox based IoT connectivity at Bosch ConnectedWorld 2018 together with different divisions of Bosch. Target markets include shared mobility as well as connected agriculture, cities, buildings and logistics.
“This is the first show, where we are going to demonstrate products and services developed under the Global Framework Agreement with Bosch, which was signed last summer,” explains Vincent Sabot, Vice-President Europe at Sigfox.“ A Sigfox connected boiler for preventive detection of faulty behavior and remote maintenance is just one of the various products and proof-of-concepts we are presenting. Additionally, we present Sigfox connectivity for the Cross-Domain Development Kit (XDK) from Bosch.”
Thanks to its small form factor, housing measuring only 60 x 40 x 22 mm³ (including battery), the Bosch XDK development kit can be retrofitted to objects of any size. Engineers can easily connect the XDK kit to any device and enjoy 24/7 connectivity access to device data via Sigfox.
As part of the demonstrations, the deep indoor coverage of the LPWAN based Sigfox network will also be showcased live at the event with various Sigfox based products and services. The globally expanding Sigfox network connects billions of devices to the Internet. Sigfox’s unique approach to device-to-cloud communications addresses the three greatest obstacles to global IoT adoption: cost, power consumption, and global scalability.
