A low cost Pet Tracker and a Home Power Meter are among the first solutions available by the end of 2016
Lissone (MB)/Reggio Emilia (Italy), November 23rd, 2016. Nettrotter, a subsidiary of EI Towers, and B810 have entered into an agreement for the development of innovative solutions for the Internet of Things market, based on Sigfox’s global network and dedicated device-to-cloud communication solution.
The first phase of the Sigfox network deployment by Nettrotter, which was announced in Italy last April, is now complete and available for approximately 70% of the Italian population. The partnership with B810 is the first step towards the development of “Made in Italy” devices, built for the Sigfox global network.
The first two devices available by the end of 2016 are a Pet Tracker and a Power Meter for homes. These low cost solutions, with no SIM card and no monthly fees, will allow the user to know, in real time, the location of their pet or their actual energy consumption at home. The device, platform, user apps and service are all included in the offer for a 2 or 3 year period.
During the next few months, these initial products will be followed by many other appealing ones such as trackers for kids, for the elderly, for cars, bikes and motorbikes, and other low cost home devices. Nettrotter, the exclusive operator of Sigfox’s network in Italy, will guarantee the efficient usage and excellent performance of all these newcoming solutions.
Nettrotter is the company that holds exclusive rights to Sigfox’s technology and its business development in Italy, and the network it has developed will provide national coverage by the end of 2016. Nettrotter has made substantial investments in the network to guarantee it is the first to offer a global network for the Internet of Things in Italy.
B810, a company based in Reggio Emilia, has extensive industrial experience in the development of M2M & IoT solutions, and it has decided to focus its efforts in pioneering the design and production of new low cost objects based on Sigfox’s technology.
